The Professional Services Council (PSC)’s Veterans Affairs Task Force hosted Greg Giddens, executive director of VA’s Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction to discuss VA reforms and how industry can help. Julie Susman, PSC Board member, Chair of PSC’s VA Task Force, and President and CEO of Jefferson Business Consulting welcomed Greg to the meeting.
Giddens discussed the five pillars of the “MyVA” initiative to realign the department to better serve veterans and shared his ideas to improve the vendor experience. PSC submitted a number of member-generated questions to Greg prior to the meeting, which he addressed during his presentation. Giddens said he is also planning to announce Veterans Affairs Procurement Principles and a Myth Busters document inn the fall.
